I know an intelligent, attractive woman who used to be an analyst with the foreign ministry of a Dutch-speaking country.  The Dutch word for analyst is analist.  I know what you’re thinking because I thought the same.

During the tenure, details included in her business card and email signature were almost entirely in English.  Except that one all-important word in the job title.  It was left in Dutch, perhaps unintentionally.

Or, perhaps I misunderstand her role?  I suppose that it could get a little tricky when enquiring to ascertain the truth, but I reckon the opening question could be, ‘So, did you like your job?’
